The Friends of Linnwood have published two books about Linnwood:

  • Chronicles of George McCredie - a transcription of newspaper articles published about George McCredie.  OUT OF STOCK.
  • The History of Linnwood - From Family Home to Community Asset - the history of the Linnwood Estate from pre-McCredie days to 2011 when Linnwood celebrated its 120th Birthday. Includes stories from a number of state wards who were residents at Linnwood whilst 'in care'.  Cost: $10.00 plus postage.


FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Are the house and/or grounds for hire?

A number of the rooms in Linnwood are available for hire. Room hire rates are available on application. Bookings may be made for private or corporate functions, although the kitchen facilities are limited. Bookings are also available for community groups to hold meetings on a casual or permanent basis, or to hold exhibitions or workshops. Tea and coffee making facilities are available.

What about Photo Sessions?

Bookings may also be made for special occasion photo sessions in the house and/or in the grounds, e.g. weddings, photo shoots, promotions etc.

Is it possible to book a Guest Speaker?

Guest speakers from the Friends of Linnwood are available to speak at community group meetings or schools to give a talk and powerpoint presentation on the History of Linnwood.
